Department of Energy awards contract to Athena Power to develop cybersecurity tools for low-cost grid-edge sensors

The Department of Energy – Office of Cybersecurity has awarded Athena Power, Inc. with a contract to research and develop cybersecurity tools to enhance security within the electric distribution grid. The goal of Athena Power is to leverage low-cost sensors to not only enhance reliability and resiliency within the distribution network of utilities but to better protect and secure the network from grid intrusion.
